Pastor Kevin and his wife, Sherry, were married in 1993 and have been in full-time ministry for the past 30 years.  In 1999 they followed the Lord’s leading to serve Him as missionaries in Indonesia.  This is where they raised and homeschooled both of their children, Josiah and Anah.  Josiah is 27 and lives in Michigan where he is deeply involved in his church and community. Anah is 25 and lives in Baker City where she works for USPS, and spends as much time as possible with her horses and cats.  The years in Indonesia were spent leading a diverse ministry team as they engaged in a sprawling and rapidly growing church planting ministry.  The ministry focus was on reaching many isolated people groups who had never heard the truth of God’s Word in their language, establishing churches, discipling believers, and translating God’s Word into their respective languages. 

In 2022 the Lord moved them to Baker City (where Kevin was born) to care for Kevin’s aging parents who were battling both Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.  For a year and a half they (together with Anah) cared for both of them at their home before Kevin’s mom was placed in a care facility in LaGrande.  They continued caring exclusively for Kevin’s dad at his home until late 2024 when God, in His grace and mercy, took him home to glory.  God used the unexpected passing of Kevin’s dad to clarify to them that He was directing them into a different ministry.  In 2025 God orchestrated events to position them to serve Him and His body at MBF.  They are excited about this next phase of ministry and it is their desire to serve Him faithfully with their lives until their time on this earth is completed.  If there is any way they can help you, pray for you, or minister to you, please let them know—they’d love to connect with you and walk together with you.
